How to play?

ManagerGP is a gaming platform that provides you the opportunity to play with your favourite drivers. By registering to ManagerGP you can take part to the World Championships of Formula One Fantasy, MotoGP Fantasy and Formula E Fantasy. The ManagerGP Season is divided into Global Leagues, in which all registered users participate, and Customised Leagues, which are organized by small users’ communities.

Global Leagues

Global Leagues enable you to play against all ManagerGP users. There is a Global League for every sport: one for Formula 1, one for MotoGP and one for Formula E. Winning one of the leagues allows you to enter the ManagerGP Hall of Fame.

Calendar

The Global Leagues follow the official calendar of reference. At the end of each Grand Prix, the standings of the raceweek is drawn up and the general standings updated.

Teams

You must line up your team in order to compete. You can create a team for every league. You must give a unique name to every team and then you must buy your team members (drivers and constructors) with the initial budget. You can modify your team at any time of the season. The team composition is different from one league to another. The F1 team, FE team and MotoGP team consists of 3 drivers and 1 constructor.

Market

You can sell and buy the members of your team throughout the season. Your goal should be to take advantage from this trade in order to increase you budget and win the title. The price of the team members will be updated after every Grand Prix or following important events that occur during the season. Keep up to date to take advantage of every opportunity.

Raceweek

Your team must be ready to get on track before the qualifying session. The start of the raceweek coincides with the start of the qualifying session as established by the official calendar. Once the qualifying starts, you enter the parc fermé regime. As established by the official calendar, the end of parc fermé coincides with the start of the race session. You can modify your team during the parc fermé regime by giving up the bonus points awarded during the qualifying session. Once the race starts, it is no longer possible to modify your team.

Scoring system

The scored points are assigned at 00:00 (UTC) after the GP. Right after the scoring, the standings are updated. Points are awarded as follows:

• +1pt for each point awarded by your drivers/riders
• +1pt for each point awarded by your constructor
• +1pt for the driver, who sets the fastest lap
• +5pts for the driver, who takes the pole position
• +1pt for the top 6 drivers in qualifying
• +1pt for each position gained (from the start on the grid) in the race
• +1pt for the driver, who beats his team-mate in qualifying
• +1pt for the driver, who beats his team-mate in the race
• +1pt for each driver, who finished the race
• +3pts for the driver, who is less lined up by fantasy managers

Standings

Immediately after the scoring, the last GP standings is drawn up and the general standings is updated. In case of a tie, the team that first lined up takes precedence. At the end of all seasonal GPs, the team in the first place wins the title and enters in the Hall of Fame. For now, there are no prizes for the final win.

Customised Leagues

Customised Leagues enable you to create your independent league, where you decide who you compete with and what rules of the scoring system apply. Use them to have fun with your best friends. You can decide to create your league for your friends or participate in a one already created.

League’s creation

To create your own league, you have to navigate to the section “leagues”. Firstly, you have to give a name to your league, a description, select the sport of reference (F1, FE, MotoGp) and then decide if the league is private or not.Remember that the access to a private league occurs exclusively by invitation.

League’s management

La gestione della lega spetta al fondatore e a tutti gli utenti iscritti nominato amministratori. Ogni amministratore può:

• Add/remove other administrators.
• Insert and modify the league’s News. They are a great way to keep the users up to date with any news.
• Manage the calendar. At the beginning, there are all the GPs of the season in the league calendar. Each GP can be added or removed until 5 day before its start.
• Invite users. You can invite other users as long as they are registered on ManagerGP. You can invite the users you want by enter their e-mail address or username.
• Modify the scoring system. Firstly, there are the same rules from the Global League. You can modify the scoring system at any time during the season but it will have effect only since the next GP.

Join a league

To join a private league, you have to receive the invitation from an administrator. Once you receive the invitation e-mail, just click on the link to sign in to the league. If you want to join a public league, just navigate the “league” section and click on the league of interest. The game mechanism is the same described above for the Global Leagues.
